1976 – January 18, 2015

 

Andriani was born in Cianjur, West Java. In 2000, she was arrested at an airport in Jakarta for attempting to smuggle 3.5kgs of heroin out of Indonesia and into London. She was arrested along with two of her cousins, also attempting to smuggle a variety of drugs to the UK.

 

Later in 2000, Andriani and her cousins all received the death penalty, however in 2011, both Andriani’s cousins were granted presidential clemency. In 2015 Andriani had her clemency request rejected.

During the early hours of January 18, 2015, Andriani was executed along with five other drug criminals on the prison island of Nusakambangan.
